Max Mastery Gliding

The Mastery system is an account-wide progression system for level 80 characters that provides players with account-wide benefits such as gliding, mounts, etc. The mastery system interface is accessed through the bottom left tab of the hero panel, and is divided into four regional blocks: Central Tyria mastery tracks, Heart of Thorns mastery tracks, Path of Fire mastery tracks, and Icebrood Saga mastery tracks.

Each mastery is permanently acquired through the following process, further detailed below: 1: Start training a mastery, earn enough experience to fill the progress yellow bar. 2: Earn enough mastery points. 3: Spend your mastery points to permanently acquire the trained mastery for your account.

This Mastery is focused on Heart of Thorns area.There are 198 Heart of Thorns mastery point Heart of Thorns points available from achievements. This includes an extra hidden mastery point from Defeat Mayatl the Fierce that gets awarded inconsistently. Maxing HoT mastery need of total 135

Max Mastery Gliding

Gliding is a unique type of movement that allows characters to descend from one point to another. It is available exclusively through the Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns expansion. Gliders can only be used after learning the Glider Basics mastery, and may be deployed in most open world maps, Heart of Thorns instanced content (e.g. personal story missions), and the Heart of the Mists outpost. Gliders cannot be activated in PvP maps or in central Tyria instanced content (such as dungeons or personal story instances). Further upgrades to the gliding mastery improve the speed, control and durability of the glider.

Trivia

• Upon release of the Heart of Thorns expansion, gliding was restricted to the expansion-related areas. The Winter update of 2016 added gliding to central Tyria, though gliding remains disabled in certain instances and locations such as Personal story and Home instances, Dungeons, some jumping puzzles and PvP maps outside of Heart of the Mists.
• Gliding in WvW was originally disabled following the release of the Heart of Thorns expansion but was added in the August 8, 2017 game update. The War Gliding mastery upgrade must first be unlocked on a character to be able to use it.
