New World Umbral Shard Farm Guide – Gypsum Casts

New World Umbral Shard Farm Guide - Gypsum Casts

In the New World game, the Umbral Shard is like a very valuable item with a really hard way to get. However, it is not impossible. At the higher level, you will see yourself work harder for an umbral shard farm. One of the new mechanic ideas is the Gypsum cast. What is it?

About The Gypsum Casts

Gypsum and gypsum casts are resources that are essential to help players push their expertise level from the mid game to the end game phase. However, it is considered as a slow grind. Using gypsum cast will give you around 3 to 10 expertise per item.

Players can make 10 – 34 casts per item, which greatly increases the expertise level. But as you reach the 600 or higher gear score, the gypsum cast itself won’t bump your expertise. Instead, you need the umbral shard to increase your expertise. So be smart with your shard.

At the high level, using cast can be helpful to gain more umbral. How does it work? Because cast helps you increase your gear score. The more cast, the easier you upgrade the gear. And at the end, the more Umbral per day.

Tips On 600 Or Higher Gear Score Item

1. Equally Upgrade Your Gear

Don’t focus on one item upgrade. 600+ is very thirsty for umbrellas. It is better to use up the umbral shard to upgrade in all of your slots, which help you use more of the Gypsum on cast and give you more umbral per day.

2. Hold Your Umbral Shard

As the level get higher, the upgrades are getting more expensive. Holding your umbral shard for complete upgrade is better. You can do it as you can upgrade both of your weapons, followed by chest gear, and the rest of your equipment.

You can see that the umbral shard is very important yet very hard to get. Even with the cast, you will need to have a higher gear score and expertise. It is known as slow grind for reasons, and we are here to help you. Check our MMOPILOT services, for more guidance and help in farming those shards.Â
