What Is Weapon Mastery In The New World?

What Is Weapon Mastery? 

Weapon mastery is the experience path for your items. It is something you gather as you play with certain weapons in the game. When the mastery points are gathered, you can unlock modifiers, abilities, or bonuses from the game. 

Each weapon master has 2 skill trees, which force the player to choose their potion of skill trees. The limit of total points for every weapon is limited to 19 points, but you can master as many weapons as possible.

The Purpose Of Weapon Mastery

Yes, it is different. While both of them do have connection to weapon and gear performance, but it has dissimilar effect. The weapon mastery mostly highlights skill unlock, new abilities, and combat capability of the weapon. 

On the other hand expertise is like a limitation on the use of gears (not only for weapons). You need higher expertise to fully utilize the gear effect.
