How does the expertise system work? New world guide for noob

Playing new world games comes with several other systems and mechanics to learn. Among the essential ones is the expertise system, which is pretty much something you need to advance to a higher level. It is also something you need to do to reach the end game. But how does it work?

The Start Of The Expertise System

Basically, you will only get into the expertise system once you hit level 60. It is a system that goes along with your gear score, which also means you need to level up or increase together with your items.

Each expertise is only used in each type of weapon, armor, and jewelry. It is a level that goes as high as 600.  And you will likely increase the expertise from the gypsum system or the loot drop. To put it simply, the expertise refers to your maximum gear score you can has in the item slot.

Expertise And Gear Score Relation

It is best to say that the expertise and gear score goes hand in hand. The best example is when you have a gear score item of 500. But the next time you kill and get the loot with gear score of 510. It means your expertise is 510. From then on, you will get the loot drop under the 510 range (as long as the mob are capable of that level).

But if you equip item with higher gear scores compared to your expertise, it won’t affect your expertise at all.

Expertise system can be a bit tricky to fully understand. But it is part of the game, which you can learn slowly as the game runs. At the end of the day, you will see that the expertise level will affect your gaming. And it does need effort to fully utilize the scoring level.
